Reliable IoT-Based Monitoring and Control of Hydroponic Systems

This paper presents the design and implementation of iPONICS: an intelligent, low-cost IoT-based control monitoring system for hydroponics greenhouses. The is based on three types sensor nodes. main (master) node responsible controlling pump, quality water in greenhouse aggregating transmitting data from slave Environment sensing nodes monitor ambient conditions transmit to node. Security activity (movement area). monitors temperature humidity, ensuring that crops grow under optimal according guidelines. Remote keepers facilitated by these parameters via connecting a website. An innovative fuzzy inference engine determines plant irrigation duration. optimized low power consumption order facilitate off-grid operation. Preliminary reliability analysis indicates can tolerate various transient faults without requiring intervention.
